What happens to your recycling
We take your recycling to a transfer site in Hereford or Leominster where it is loaded into larger containers and taken to our EnviroSort facility in Worcestershire.
When your recycling arrives at EnviroSort it is all mixed together. EnviroSort uses hand sorting and a mechanical process to separate out all the materials into their different types.

Once the materials have been sorted they are sent to re-processors in the UK and Europe to be recycled.

How electrical items are recycled
Collected items are broken up, and plastics and metals are separated for reuse in industry. Recycling electrical goods is crucial as many of the precious metals they contain are becoming scarce.
How batteries are recycled
Battery recycling varies by battery type but generally involves sorting, shredding, and then either smelting or using high-temperature processes to extract and purify valuable metals for reuse.
